Faradaic Current

Is a specific type of pulsed current which is produced through the rotation of a coiled wire in a magnetic field.

Faradaic stimulation is sometimes mistakenly referred to alternating current (AC) stimulation.

Developed by Michael Faraday in 1821.

Not well tolerated and creates discomfort (sometimes severe) to the patient at the point of current entry.
